This beginner-friendly course is perfect for those with no prior experience in NZ Sign Language. You'll learn the foundations of communication through visual language in a supportive and practical environment.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

• Introduce yourself, greet others, and share personal information

• Get someone’s attention and ask for clarification or repetition

• Use the fingerspelling alphabet

• Count from 0–20 and use simple time phrases

• Express basic needs and wants

• Build confidence with a basic signing vocabulary
