Kia Ora,
My name is Kehma, and I’m originally from Malaysia. I moved to New Zealand in 2008. I began my catering and tutoring journey with my family in Queenstown and have continued this work in Auckland since 2018. Growing up in a multicultural country rich in Southeast Asian culture, I have the unique advantage of knowing how to prepare authentic Southeast Asian recipes, passed down through generations since my childhood.
I have a deep passion for cooking Malaysian cuisine, which inspires me to run our food truck, Kehma's Kitchen, located in West Auckland. Despite working full-time as a medical receptionist, I manage catering and operate the food truck on Saturdays, while tutoring on weekdays. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support and encouragement of my husband, Mark.
I have worked as a private chef for over 90 events in Queenstown alongside my sister Ruby, who has been my cooking partner. We offer a variety of catering options tailored to different types of events. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing conversations, and passing on my knowledge and skills of our rich and flavorful Malaysian cuisine. Cooking is my true passion, and I look forward to continuing this journey for many years to come.
